Audio Cables DJs Need

While most musicians know at least a bit about audio gear, we know that some musicians and DJs are really more concerned about sounding great - not how to configure speakers. We know this is stemmed from a childhood dream that when you are a musician or DJ, you have technical people to do all that stuff for you.

We're sure that childhood fantasy will come true soon, and with your own DJ business or band - you're well on your way of getting there. But in the mean time, you'll just have to suck it up and hook up your speakers yourself for a while. But luckily, it's not as tough as you think when you have the right audio cables.

Most DJ setups will need a variety of audio cables so ensure your pa speakers can be hooked up properly at various venues. You'll want to have enough audio cables to get your speakers connected and plugged in, along with a few extras in case one is not working. Audio cables come with different connection points, from XLR to Speakon to 1/4", so be sure and check which form your speakers have before purchasing cables. You can also modify any audio cables you already have with a cable connector, which you can attach to your current cable ends to change the connector. You'll also want to have a good cable tester on hand so if there are problems, you can remedy them quickly.
